At Asbury, we currently offer eleven Adult Education classes on Sunday mornings at 9:30am. Each class offers opportunities to deepen our relationship with God, each other and with the community through outreach and mission. We hope this following information will help you choose a class or a study that you would like to visit or join. We encourage you to visit as many classes as you would like in hopes that you will find the class that is right for you.
Asbury Sunday School Classes & Small Groups Mission Projects
Here is a current list of mission outreach through our Sunday School Classes and Small Groups:
United Methodist Men:
Various local mission projects and church projects.

Silver Eagles:
Every Wednesday dedicated men volunteer doing various projects around the church.

Seekers Sunday School Class:
Northwest LA Food Bank; monetary help to make sandwiches for local homeless
Collects diapers for Church of Christ soup kitchen

Fellowship Sunday School Class:
Has adopted Suttons Childrens Hospital for twice a year collections. Suttons provides a wish list and class collects and delivers to hospital.
Joint work day with S.P.I.C.E./Cross and Flame classes for Plain Dealing VIM work day.

STARS Sunday School Class:
Monetary donations to Church of Christ Soup Kitchen.

Harvesters Sunday School Class:
Monetary donations to Church of Christ Soup Kitchen.

Friendship Sunday School Class:
Monetary donations to Church of Christ Soup Kitchen.

Contemporary Discussion Sunday School Class:
Monetary donations to Church of Christ.
(Contemporary Discussion, Harvesters and STARS are in a monthly partnership monthly. Harold Knowles is the contact person)

S.P.I.C.E. Sunday School Class:
Northwest LA Food Bank; monetary help to make sandwiches for local homeless
Plans in the fall are to provide a meal for Providence House and plan a joint work day with another Cross and Flame/Fellowship in Plain Dealing for VIM project. Have discussed a work day at Methodist Childrens Home in Ruston.
